Brazil Soccer Brazilians love sports in general, but on sport, soccer, stands out in most Brazilian hearts. It’s no wonder that the Brazilians love their soccer so much, they have won not one, but five World Cup Championships. Five World Cups is two more than any other company has won. Do Brazilians love their soccer because they have won so many world cups? Or have the Brazilians won so many world cups because they love their soccer so much?

The Brazilian World Cup team plays soccer in the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. The soccer stadium can hold almost 100,000 cheering fans – when the stadium was first built, it could actually hold 200,000, a world-record in football attendance. The stadium was actually built for the 1950 World Cup. The Brazilians did not win this World Cup, but they did go on to win just 8 years later.

The great and famous Brazil soccer team is, of course, made up great players. One of the famous and world-renowned soccer players ever, Pelé, is just one of those famous players. During his 18-year career in Brazil, Pelé scored more than 1,200 goals. Other famous soccer players from Brazil are Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, and Rivaldo.

The famous yellow and green jerseys that Brazil soccer is known for are worn all throughout the world, certainly not just in Brazil. Whenever Brazil wins another World Cup or other game, yellow and green can be seen streaming out onto the streets of almost any major city. Brazil soccer is a favorite throughout the world.

People of all ages can be seen out in the streets or anywhere that’s available, kicking a soccer ball around. Soccer is a much beloved sport in Brazil, and it most certainly does not hurt having such a winning and world-renowned team!
