Celtic
have completed the transfer of Japanese international midfielder
Shunsuke Nakamura from Italian Serie A club Reggina.
The move will cost Celtic in the region of £2 million and
the player has agreed on a 3 year deal.
Celtic manager, Gordon Strachan, has tipped Nakamura (27) to become
a huge success in Glasgow.
Nakamura has become Celtics seventh new signing of the summer as
Strachan reshapes the Glasgow giants into his own team.
The Italian clubs official web site had carried a message confirming
the deal had been reached and sent their best wishes to the player.
Celtic later confirmed the transfer.
During four seasons in the Reggina midfield Nakamura has scored
13 goals in 113 appearances, before that he played for Yokohama
Marinos between 1997 - 2002 in his native Japan, scoring 29 goals
in 122 appearances.
Strachan’s other new recruits this summer are: Jeremie Aliadiere,
Mo Camara, Maciej Zurawski, Artur Boruc, Paul Telfer and Adam Virgo.
